This is an optical telegraphy tower that was built in the middle of the XIX century and which used to belong to a chain of towers of its kind that had been installed in different towns of the State, such as Valencia or Barcelona, until the french border. It is commonly known as “Torre dels Moros”, but its actual name is “Torre de les Guàrdies”, because it is located at the summit of a hill placed in the land “les Guàrdies”. Thanks to this route not only will you be able to visit a monument declared Cultural Good of National Interest, but you will also be able to enjoy the impressive panoramic views of el Cap de Salou, el Delta de l’Ebre, el Perelló and la Serra de Boix.

The departure point is the Municipal Pavilion and the itinerary goes through “la Panavera” and “l’Abeurador” (the drinking trough), until the asphalt path becomes a sand path. Once here, we recommend using the track or the pictures attached to this article.
If your priority is to visit the telegraphy tower, you need to be aware of the fact that it is possible to get there by car if you take the path that turns off the southern entrance of the village. But we strongly recommend you to enjoy this circular stroll, surrounded by vegetation.
