La foradada

Although la Foradada has belonged to Tortosa for some years, it has always been well valued and visited by the people from el Perelló. In fact, it is located in the same mountain crest as el Morral de Cabrafeixet, concretely, between “el Barranc del Gall” and “el Barranc de l’Ombria de Xirimina”. The route is very attractive and diverse, and it is also easy. The itinerary begins and goes past two ponds. Afterwards, it leads us to a trail that goes into the leafy vegetation of the mountain, where if you pay attention, you will be able to listen to the chirping birds, because it is a green zone where the nesting of some species, particularly, the fasciatus-eagle is protected. But at the end of the route you will be able to enjoy impressive views of el Delta de l’Ebre. In order to make the most of the experience, we recommend you to complete the route just before the sunset.

* It is not possible to complete the route between 15 Febraruy and 15 June, due to the nesting of fasciatus-eagle.

Length: 4.34 km

Time: 1h 30'

We leave the car next to “la Bassa de la Collada” and we take the same path that we were following by car for 500 meters. Then we turn right. 10 meters later, you will find the second pond and the path will become a trail. Afterwards, there will be a considerable upwards slope and 2 kilometers later, you will get to “la Foradada”. Although it is an easy route, we recommend you to wear appropriate footwear.
